Ten Adria Mobil cyclists to race on European Champs


Slovenian team has left for Alkmaar in the Netherlands, host city of the 2019 European road cycling champs. There will be 8 Adria Mobil’s cyclists in the Slovenian team, plus Dušan Rajovič in Serbian and Fran Miholjević in Croatian.


First to represent Slovenia on the championships is young Gal Glivar, who will race on the 22,4 kilometers long time-trial on Wednesday. Last event of the championships will be elite men race with three Adria Mobil cyclists: Marko Kump, Gašper Katrašnik & David Per. All three of them are traveling to the champs with a victory from the past weekend, which has boost confidence for sure.

David Per is again racing for Slovenian team: “I’m very glad that I made it back to the elite team that will represent Slovenia on the European Champs. I was on high altitude training and I fell great and look to the race with lots of optimism. I hope I will fulfill all of the task that I will get from the team director and to prove myself and the rest that I can match the best out there.”
Young Gal Glivar had this to say: “I expect the most from the time-trial race. After that I will help my team on the road race. We’ll try to get the best possible result and take much needed points that could take us to the World Champs in September.”

Slovenia already has several medals from the European Championships, especially in the younger categories. Among them are also Adria’s Jure Zrimšek (2002) & Janez Brajkovič (2005).
