Gašper Katrašnik 4th in the chaotic sprint

144 kilometers long second stage of 2019 CCC Tour - Grody Piastowskie finished with the sprint finish and the victory of Polish cyclist Maciej Paterski. Adria Mobil’s Gašper Katrašnik was again fantastic – he took 4th today. Adria’a highest ranked cyclist on the overall standings is Žiga Grošelj in 14th.

Sports Director Branko Filip: “First two hours of the race were very fast with multiple breakaways and very active role of our cyclists. Polish cyclist managed to escape with 60 kilometers to go, but he wasn’t a contender for the overall victory. He was caught with 15 kilometers to go, ahead of the mountain finish, then the peloton got ready for the sprint finish. Gašper was 4th in the chaos on the end. I’m glad that none of our guys didn’t crash today, the whole stage took place in the rain and on the bad roads.”
