2015 season was a dream for Adria Mobil Cycling as the team won 28 times and finished in 11th place on UCI rankings. Marko Kump took 20 of those victories, 18 of them on UCI events. Marko, aka. Arrow from Dolenjska (name of the region where team is based), is now returning to the team where he started his cycling career and developed into top racer. After two years with team CCC he’s back home and again aims for top steps of the podium. David Per is also a cyclists that grew with Adria Mobil Cycling and is coming back after two seasons with Bahrain Merida.
Kump and Per have significantly strengthen the Slovenian continental team, now under the lead of new Sports Director Branko Filip. The combination of his knowledge & experiences and new, refreshed rooster will push the whole program to the next level.
Marko Kump: “I’m always returning to Adria Mobil with the same reason. I feel like at home here and I’m sure this also helped me a loot with all the great results that I and my team took in the past. I’ve grown up here and here is where I got right values – for cycling and also for the world away from sport. I’ve always stayed in friendly relationships with the team management and now I’m grateful for their trust in me. I can’t wait to start the new season, one I have high hopes for. I know Filip from when I was a junior and I have great respect towards him. I believe we have a successful year ahead and I will give back to everyone that helped me get to this point. Team for 2019 is very good and I already look forward with everybody on the upcoming team camp.”
David Per: “I’m coming back to Adria Mobil Cycling after I was with Bahrain for two years. I’ve learned and experienced a lot and I wan to take that and get a lot top results for myself and my team. I’m excited ahead of the new season.”
Team is happy to have both cyclists back on the team rooster, they are great addition to the leading continental team in the region. Team Adria Mobil Cycling will have 11 cyclists from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia on the roaster for 2019 season.
