It was raining for the whole day, with temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius. 11 cyclists escaped soon after the start in the capital of Croatia, but the lead of two minutes was not enough. They were caught in the last lap around Novo mesto.

Cold weather and slippery roads took their toll, only half of the peloton cam to the finish line.

Dušan Rajović was the strongest in the last part of the race and took his fourth victory of the season. After the race he said: “I decided to attack in the moment when I saw that everybody around me is ‘dead’. I didn’t plan that, I just took the advantage of the situation. Team was really doing a great job and I thank them all.”
