Josef Cerny won the Czech duel


Czech rider Josef Cerny won 7th edition of Tour of Czech Republic, he was 9 seconds faster than fellow countryman Jan Bárt. Adria Mobil’s best cyclists was Radoslav Rogina in 23rd place. Last stage didn’t change the overall positions, sprint finish was won by Irish Sam Bennett from team Bora-Hansgrohe. Gašper Katrašnik was ninth.


Race for the overall victory was fought between Czech riders from teams Elkov - Author Cycling Team and Bora-Hansgrohe. Continental team Elkov - Author was this time better than the powerful German squad; their rider Josef Cerny came from team CCC over the winter and awarded the team for their trust. Cerny was also racing on 2017 Tour of Slovenia and took 39th place overall.

Team Adria Mobil Cycling showed a solid performance, Radoslav Rogina was 23th overall, Žiga Grošelj was 24th.
